CMC Rescue MPD (Multi-Purpose Device)

This lesson is aimed for adult learners trained in rope rescue for industrial fire and rescue teams and SAR (search and rescue) operations.  Students should have a minimum of a basic rope rescue certificate.

Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to describe the merits of the MPD and demonstrate its proper use in a safe environment (gradual slope) as a lowering device.  Students will be able to describe with 100% accuracy the merits of this device over the Brake Bar, TR540 and ID20.
